What is IV Therapy?

IV (Intravenous) Therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream for faster, more effective absorption. Whether you’re looking to boost energy, support immunity, recover faster, or simply feel refreshed, IV therapy is a powerful wellness solution tailored to your needs.

IV Therapy Guidelines

Who IV Therapy May Be Suitable For
IV therapy may be considered for people who, after a clinical review, may benefit from hydration or targeted nutrients. Examples include:
  • People with mild dehydration
  • Individuals with known nutrient deficiencies or absorption challenges
  • Those recovering from short-term illness, fatigue, or increased physical exertion
  • Patients seeking supportive wellness care under appropriate medical guidance

All treatments at UHC require a brief screening by our medical team to ensure safety and suitability.

IV Therapy Benefits:

  • Fatigue – Our infusions are designed to boost cellular energy and help you feel recharged.
  • Cancer Support – We offer adjunctive IV therapies carefully selected to complement cancer care under clinical guidance
  • Athletic Performance  Athletes benefit from enhanced hydration, recovery, and endurance with our performance-optimized drips.
  • Skin Health & Glow – Brighten and rejuvenate your skin from the inside out with IVs tailored for radiance and tone.
  • Low Mood & Anxiety – Specific nutrients in our drips can support the natural production of serotonin and dopamine to promote emotional balance.
  • Immune Support – Custom IV blends help strengthen your immune system and enhance your body’s natural defense.
  • Longevity & Wellness – Specialized extended infusions may support long-term vitality and healthy aging.

Who Should Not Receive IV Therapy
For safety reasons, IV therapy is not recommended for individuals with certain medical conditions.
You may not be eligible if you have:
  • Kidney disease or reduced kidney function
  • Heart failure or significant heart conditions
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Active infection or fever
  • Bleeding disorders or are on certain blood thinners
  • Known allergies to ingredients in the infusion
  • G6PD deficiency (for high-dose vitamin C drips)
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding without medical clearance
  • Are undergoing cancer treatment without specialist approval

If any of these apply, our clinicians will advise you on safer alternatives.

What to Expect During Your Visit

IV therapy at United Health Centres is tailored to your wellness goals. Some clients start with a short reset phase (1–2 sessions per week) before moving to a maintenance schedule every few weeks, based on our provider’s guidance.

For ongoing care, we offer discounted packages of 5 or 10 IV drips.

  1. Screening – A clinician will review your health history to confirm that IV therapy is appropriate. Afterwards, we will discuss your health goals and determine the best IV treatment for you.
  2. Consent – We will explain the treatment, possible benefits, and potential risks.
  3. Infusion – Based on your needs, we create a tailored IV formula—delivered in a relaxed, comfortable environment. The drip is administered by trained staff while you relax in a comfortable setting.
  4. Monitoring – We monitor you throughout the session to ensure a safe experience.

We follow established infusion-therapy standards, and every treatment requires medical approval.
Treatment takes 30–60 minutes (depending on drip type) while you sit back, relax, and hydrate from the inside out.
Most patients feel refreshed, energized, and focused shortly after treatment.

Please Note

IV therapy is not a cure for medical conditions, and results vary by individual. It should be used as supportive care, not a replacement for proper medical treatment, diagnosis, or emergency care.
